Textured tan plastic case, with nickel-plated steel hardware and an aluminum base; 3-row QWERTY keyboard under a hinged lid on top secured with a latch; a lower row consists of standard braille keys; keys raise steel pins in an aluminum matrix, creating a single braille cell located at the top back of the machine; oval metal plate on top of machine reads: "Communication in Braille, Tellatouch, American Foundation for the Blind"; tan leather shoulder strap attached to the back corners with snap hooks through riveted D-rings.
