Description: The Jot-A-Dot was introduced by Australia's Quantum Technology in 2007. It used narrow six inch wide paper, and was intended to combine the light weight and portability of a braille slate with the speed and ease of use of a mechanical writer. The design, where the entire top of the machine moves downward as the keys are pressed, was inspired by office hole punches.
