- (a) Gray plastic chassis, square top on integral platform base; right side is curved; rounded hump on left with hollow underneath provides a carrying grip; speaker grill in top left; cassette compartment with clear window in center top; four switches to right of window: variable speed slider, side select rocker, tone slider, and volume slider; five push button controls on bottom of top, each with raised symbol on top, play, rewind, forward, stop, and eject; play button is green, stop is red, others are gray; remote, headphone, and power adapter jacks on right side; bottom has two battery compartments, one for six (6) "C" size batteries, the other for a rechargible battery; (b) black plastic AC adapter/transformer with cord.
