- Description:
- A stylus device used for making raised lines and drawings. It is driven by an electric motor. The device is housed in a wooden case. Paper is fitted on 4 posts mounted to the base of the case and is positioned between a foot and the stylus. A metal template is then placed around the edges of the paper, using the same posts. The motor is started by pressing a button; the stylus is held in the writing hand and moved in the desired direction to make raised lines. Metal plates on the side of the side of the motor read "Sensor Quill Mechstat, Inc., San Antonio, Texas" and "U.S. Pat. No. 3,855,707, Model No. RB-2, Serial No. 1038." A top metal plate reads "Property of State Of Illinois State Board of Education, Illinois Office of Education, Inv. No. 20142."
