Description:
Bright aluminum lathe components of a Scully Disc Recording Machine, serial# 477 with a Westrex 2B Cutter Head, serial#298 mounted on arched arm on top of carriage; large dial on platform on lower right, stamped "Scully" with gradations from 140-800 lines per inch; vertical plate on front of base stamped "Warning..."; brown cork turntable pad, marked with circles indicating 7, 10, and 12" disks; white rubber vacuum hose; clear plexi indicator on aluminum rule on front right; red plastic jewel indicator light to left of vacuum hose on arched arm of cutter arm; series of microswitches on armature on back right of base; missing all other components of the original machine contained within the original base cabinet (see photos in 2011.42.3).
