APH received a grant from the U.S. Department of Health, Education & Welfare to study listening as a study method for blind students in 1967. One component involved researchers studying the tasks involved in aural studying. A series of test recordings were prepared for various components of the project. See annual reports from the APH Educational Research Dept from 1967-1975. Interim progress reports were submitted to HEW by APH as well as a final report, all now found in the Migel Library.
