On the third page of this four-page April 10, 1839 issue of the newspaper, under the caption "Education of the Blind," is the obituary of Julius Friedlander that appeared originally in the Student's Magazine, a periodical published at the Pennsylvania Institution for the Instruction of the Blind. Friedlander founded the school, now called Overbrook School for the Blind, in Philadelphia in 1832.
