Administrative History: The Youngstown Society for the Blind, located in Youngstown, Ohio, was started with support from the Youngstown Lions Club in 1927 to provide recreational and social services to blind and visually impaired persons in the Youngstown area. In 1977, the non-profit agency was serving individuals in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, and Ashtabula counties.
