Administrative History: In 1966, the Pennsylvania Working Home and Philadelphia Association for the Blind became officially known as The Working Blind, continuing to provide rehabilitation, vocational and social services to blind and visually impaired individuals in the Philadelphia area. The non-profit agency's history began with the establishment of the Pennsylvania Working Home in Philadelphia in 1874. (See linked annual report records, under the previous organizational names.)
