- Book was transferred to the APH Museum from the APH Research Department. In 1999, the American Printing House for the Blind began development of recreational word-puzzle books in both 1/2-inch and 1-inch large print (significantly larger than the typically 18-point type found in most similar large-type game books). They were intended for high school students and adult consumers. After successful field testing in 1999, the books were introduced as an APH product in 2000.
