Description: Oak desk chair, orange finish; simple lines; curved crest rail tenoned into stiles; five rails on back splat tenoned into crest rail and the back rail; seat is glued up from five boards with a shallow tongue and groove joint, round depression shaped to rear of seat, chamfered edges, slight flare from back to front; front legs straight with chamfer on outer front corner, rear legs curve backward; square-section stretchers between front and back legs with a single stretcher connecting them in the middle; two curved "hip rests" screwed to seat and stiles, mortised screw holes plugged; seat rails are tenoned into the legs, the seat is screwed to the rails with four screws; two glue blocks at front of seat frame; in blue crayon under seat, "224/LO".
