Attached description: handwritten in blue ink, "14, 15,16 Mrs. Imamura - Maybe Jap. old time custom: She did not eat with us nor even meet us until we were about to leave. She brought the little child to me with the lovely white chryson [sp?] [illegible] as their sign of appreciation for coming."
