History/Provenance: The photograph was displayed on the first floor of the APH building and was transferred to the museum during interior remodeling of that floor, circa 2001. The photograph shows the 1883 APH building with a 3-story, west wing addition and, on the east side, a 2-story plate storage vault. The first two stories of the west wing were built in 1923 and the third story was added in 1926 to increase capacity of the press room. The second story of the vault was erected in 1900.
