“Washboard slate” for New York point and braille

Description: The wooden board is backed by a horizontally-grooved brass plate and has an open top-hinged frame to secure paper; two brass writing guides, one for braille and the other for New York point; guides have back pegs to fit into holes along the frame; "965" is stamped on the top right end of the New York point guide; number "50" is stamped on the back right end of the braille guide; "Mfd. by C. Klimitz, Batavia, N.Y." appears on the back of the board.
