Description: Hinged pocket slate; lightweight brass; 4 lines of 27 cells; four copper registration pins (up) in bottom frame fit into corresponding holes in top frame; windows on top frame have dimpled cut-outs to guide placement of the stylus; a raised dot divides every five cells, and a raised line runs the length of the top frame in the middle; dots on bottom frame are raised rather than the recessed dots seen in downward-writing slates; stamped on end of top frame, "Orbit Products, Inc. Box 123 Manchester Mo. 63011"; piano hinge.
