Description: Black-and-white matte; title appears in a photo caption in the 1912 Report of the Kentucky Institution for the Education of the Blind. Female students at the Kentucky School for the Blind typing at desks. The women are in two rows facing the front of the room, all typing with typewriters. All are wearing similar long-sleeved dresses. Each desk has a large metal toolbox on the floor next to it. In the background, there is a bookshelf against the wall, large door, and an overhead lamp. There are visible losses of emulsion in the original photograph in all corners.
