Description: Bright aluminum finish; piano hinge connects upper and lower frames; both frames have grid of seven (7) lines of twenty-three (23) braille cells, windows slightly indented to guide stylus placement; the lines on the top and bottom frames alternate to allow interlining -- brailling on both sides of the paper -- without removing the paper from the slate; the opposite frame is punched with six indented holes behind each cell frame opening; every other line is numbered in braille; three rounded projections on the lower edge of the slate; six brass registration pins.
