Administrative History: The Toledo Society for the Blind was founded in 1923 as a non-profit organization to provide social activities and services to blind and visually impaired residents of the Toledo, Ohio area. It was incorporated in 1927 and the following year began offering sheltered workshop activities to its clients. In 2003, the name of the organization was changed to The Sight Center of Northwest Ohio.
