Administrative History: During its 2008 Annual Meeting of Ex Officio Trustees, the American Printing House for the Blind (Louisville, Kentucky) was presented a letter sent from Margaret Spellings, U.S. Secretary of Education, congratulating the company for its 150 years of "dedication and leadership in producing reading materials and learning tools for students who are blind." The presentation was made by Spellings' Regional Representative Dr. Anne Hancock on October 3, at the Seelbach Hotel in downtown Louisville, where the Annual Meeting took place.
