Brown clothbound boards. "Church of the Epiphany. Philadelphia. Sunday School. Presented by the Rector 1837" is gold-stamped on the front cover inside a decorative border. "The Blind Made Happy" is gold-stamped on the back cover. Includes two embossed pages at the front: a map ("Executed at the Institution for the Blind, Boston") and a title page in Boston line letter. Includes a frontispiece engraving of the Institution for the Blind at Philadelphia. "By S.C. M-" is handwritten in ink on the print title page.
