Summary/Description: Marbled paper over boards; spine and corners bound with black cloth; thread stitching. Single-sided embossing. The Blind Child's Second Book, a reading primer, was originally embossed in raised letters in 1846 by the Howe Memorial Press (Perkins School for the Blind). A handwritten note on front paste-down endpaper reads "This book was used by Helen Keller to teach when in Wesport, NY."
