Summary/Description: Dark blue clothbound boards with blind-stamped design on front and back covers; "Tangible Typography." is gilt-stamped on spine; "How the Blind Read." is gilt-stamped on front cover. 10 embossed plates with specimens of embossed printing systems, including those of Alston, Frere, Lucas, Moon, Carton, Braille, and Howe's Boston line letter. Inscribed on title page "With the Authors respects." Includes lists of embossed books. Identified by vendor as a first editon, presentation copy and "the earliest known specimen of Braille published in England."
