Description: Each letter of the alphabet, from A to Z, is routed out in a separate rectangular piece of masonite. Each routed piece and another unrouted piece of the same size, spaced 1 1/2 in. behind it, are fitted into two side birch pieces, which form a frame. A sliding button of wood and metal rests inside the open shape of the letter and can be moved along the shape. The letter shapes vary from 2 to 4 inches in size. The masonite letter pieces are stored in two rows in a wooden tray. 2003.206.1a-z - 26 letter pieces; 2003.206.2 - wooden box.
