At left, boy, in buttoned shirt and plaid slacks, is sitting and holding Fahrenheit (dial) thermometer in left hand and touching the rim with his right hand; at right, a girl, wearing a plaid dress, eyeglasses, and headband, is partially in photo and is sitting and holding spring (dial) balance with her left hand and her right hand is touching the scale. At center, is a small table on which the full measurements kit is laid out, with the ruler in the foreground, pan balance scale on right corner, weights and blocks in front of propped up kit container, and overflow can on right top shelf of kit container.
