Description: "The Blind Beggar. From The Picture In The National Gallery. London, James S. Virtue." is printed in bottom margin. "J. Dyckmans, Pinxt." is printed beneath image, at left. "D. Desvachez, Sculpt." is printed beneath image, at right. Narrative text is printed on a separate, same-sized sheet of card stock. An engraving of the painting by Chevalier Dyckmans(1811-1888), the image shows an elderly, bearded blind man standing on the porch steps of a church with a young girl, waiting for alms from the churchgoers. "Published by London Virtue, 1869." --vendor.
