Administrative History: In 2008, the American Printing House for the Blind (APH), located in Louisville, Kentucky, celebrated its sesquicentennial. On June 18 of that year, John Yarmuth, U.S. Representative of Kentucky's 3rd Congressional District, spoke on the Congressional Floor to recognize APH and its 150 years of success "in providing the tools needed for America's vision impaired to learn and excel."
