Description: Black and white print; eyeglasses accessory for the Sonicguide Electronic Travel Device; a pair of black and clear plastic eyeglasses with curved tube earphones on both sides and a coiled wire wrapped around the right earpiece and terminating in a mini-RCA jack.

History/Provenance: Removed from 2014.13.1, Box 19, Folder 50. In the 1960s, Dr. Leslie Kay led development of the Ultrasonic Binaural Sensory Aid for the Blind (commonly known as Sonic Glasses) at Canterbury University, in Christchurch, New Zealand, where he was a professor of electrical engineering. The device was first released in 1974. In 1976, Wormald International Sensory Aids, Ltd. took over manufacturing and marketing of the device, which became known as the Sonicguide.
