Description: Brass swivel-style desk slate, rounded point on both short sides; two (2) rows of 25 braille cells; slight dimples on top frame to guide stylus into recessed cells on lower frame; hole in top frame closes over large blunt pin on lower frame when closed; two blunt pins riveted to bottom of lower frame which would engage in holes in a writing board(not present in this accession); stamped "433" on top and bottom frame, stamped "4" on top frame only; extra 1/16" hole through both frames just inside swivel pin.
