Administrative History: The Seeing Eye, a non-profit organization founded in 1929, is the oldest dog guide training school in the United States. Originally located in Nashville, Tennessee, Seeing Eye moved in 1931 to Whippany, New Jersey and, in 1965, to Morristown in that same state. In addition to raising and training dog guides, the Seeing Eye provides instruction in dog guide use and follow-up services to its blind and visually impaired clients.
