Description: The kit includes items specially adapted with tactile markings for students who are blind: a 12-inch ruler, spring (dial) balance, pan balance, and two thermometers (Fahrenheit and Celsius). The kit also includes assorted gram weights, an overflow can, a catch can, 4 square blocks measuring 1 1/4 in. of different metals (aluminum, iron, brass and lead) with hooks, 4 square blocks measuring 1 1/4 in. of wood (balsa, cork, pine and oak), and 4 gravity specimens (1 in. cubes) of various metals (aluminum, iron, brass and lead). The kit is packed in a carrying case that has two removable shelves, a handle and detachable lid, and it weighs approximately 16 pounds. APH catalog no. 1-0364. The pan balance, gram weights, and aluminum block are missing.
