Rubber mold section and thermoformed pattern for the Tactile Map of Frankfort Avenue

Description: A section of the green rubber mold used to make the Tactile Map of Frankfort Avenue, and the thermoformed paper pattern from which the mold section was formed. Mapped area of this section extends from Haldeman Avenue to Pope Street and includes a map key, compass rose, and the following features: city blocks, textured sidewalks, open circles at three intersections to indicate traffic lights, markings for stone wall fencing, and braille labeling. Paper pattern was made from a collage master and is attached with masking tape to a brown fiberboard. Mold was produced by pouring rubber over the pattern, which was set in a wood frame. 2009.3.1 - mold; 2009.3.2 - paper pattern
