Description: Relief picture produced by Martin Kunz for instruction of blind students; may be a part of his Naturkunde [Natural History] series. "Pictures for the Blind" is printed at the top in German, French, English, and Italian as follows: Abbildungen fur Blinde. Images a l'usage des aveugles. Pictures for the Blind. Immagini ad uso dei ciechi. Below this is printed "von Direktor M. Kunz, Illzach." Creator's name and location are embossed in German braille, at bottom. Braille labeling identifies the species of fish in both German and French; fish at top is labeled "der hornhecht" [hornpike] and "l'orphie"; other fish is labeled "der hecht" [pike] and "le brochet." Illustrations and background are hand-painted. Front is varnished; backside of pictures is filled in with gesso.
