Scope & Content: Some braille labeling in upper left corner; no labeling on mapped area; creator's name and location appear in raised letters along bottom edge; latitude and longitude indicated by short raised lines with braille numbers along the border of the map; large bodies of water (Black and Caspian Seas) have slightly raised horizontal lines; landmasses are slightly higher and mountain ranges are elevated; major cities identified by raised dots; rivers are represented by raised lines. Martin Kunz was director of the Blind Institute at Illzach, Germany and the leading producer of maps in Europe during the 1890s.
