Scope & Content: High relief map; German title in raised letters at bottom, center and in braille at top, center; "Illzach" and "M.Kunz" in raised letters, at bottom; no labeling on mapped area; large bodies of water are depressed and have horizontal lines; rivers are indicated by raised lines; mountains are prominent; boundaries indicated by dotted lines; major cities shown by raised dots; distance scale with raised line and braille numbers at left edge; latitude/longitude indicated by short raised lines with braille numbers around margins of map. Mapped area measures 16 x 13 in. on the sheet. Martin Kunz was director of the Blind Institute at Illzach, Germany and the leading producer of maps in Europe during the 1890s.
