Scope & Content: Title is in braille at top center of map and in raised letters (German), along with Kunz' name and "Illzach", at bottom; insets along left side include Iceland, South Greenland, Faroe Islands, and Shetland Islands, all identified in braille; no labeling on mapped areas; latitude and longitude indicated by short raised lines and braille numbers around perimeter of map; scale of miles in upper left corner has braille; major cities identified by raised dots; large bodies of water indicated by slightly raised horizontal lines. Martin Kunz was director of the Blind Institute at Illzach, Germany and the leading producer of maps in Europe during the 1890s.
