Scope & Content: New edition of a map originally produced in 1889; title, creator, and place of manufacture identified in raised letters, print, and braille at bottom; mapped area has print labeling; large bodies of water have slightly raised horizontal lines; landmass is higher and mountain ranges are prominent; provincial boundaries are indicated by raised dotted lines and rivers by solid raised lines; cities identified by raised dots and labeling; distance scale has print and braille, lower right corner; latitude/longitude indicated by short raised lines with braille and print numbers at margins of map. Martin Kunz was director of the Blind Institute at Illzach, Germany and the leading producer of maps in Europe during the 1890s.
