Description: Shows a head-and-shoulders portrait of English poet John Milton (1607-1674), author of Paradise Lost, who was blind. Printed beneath the bottom margin of the composition: "John Milton. Engraved by T. Woolnoth. From a Miniature of the same size by Faithorne, Anno 1667, in the possession of William Falconer Esq., Under the Superintendance of the Society for the Diffusion of Useful Knowledge. London, published by Charles Knight, Pall Mall East." Reverse is blank.
