Scope & Content: The front of the postcard shows three color-tinted photos of the school's buildings. In the upper, left half of the card is a picture of Hamilton Hall; in the upper, right half is a picture of Park Lewis Hall; and the bottom half of the card is a picture of the front of the main school building. Along the bottom edge of the postcard is printed "New York State School for the Blind, Batavia, N. Y." All of the buildings are multistoried, red brick. Trees and lawn are prominent. The back of the card is divided by print which reads: "Tichnor Quality Views" Reg. U.S. Pat. Off. Made Only By Tichnor Bros., Inc., Boston, Mass. Printed along the left edge is "Pub. By Rutland News Co., Rutland, VT." The numbers "69895" are printed at the bottom left corner. The back is unused. Vendor dates the card pre-1946.
