Scope & Content: Black & white photo of the front of the school building is on the front of the postcard. Shows a four-storied stuccoed brick building with a large central dome and a two-story, Ionic columned portico. Trees frame the picture on both sides. Printed at center bottom is "Institute for the Blind. Louisville, Ky." A handwritten message appears in the space to the right of the picture. Reverse is undivided, postmarked Jul 8, 1909, and addressed. The publisher's logo of a shamrock appears in the top left corner. Along the left edge is printed "No. A 104 Published by The American News Company, New York. Leipzig-Berlin."
