Description: Small mahogany case with finger joints at corners; hinged lid with brass spring latch on front; lid and base lined on interior with green felt; Bakelite resin tray pinned into base with 8x8 grid of star shaped holes; each alternating hole in the grid has slightly rounded shoulders (to represent the black/white squares of a chess board); thirty-eight (38) pieces of type, each with a raised bar on one end and two raised pins on the other.
