Description: Plaque is made of wood with walnut stain and has two 1 1/4 inch slots on back (one at top center and one at right) for hanging. A gold-foil maker's label is at top center. A black brass plate is attached to the front of the plaque with 4 small screws and is engraved: "George Peabody College of Vanderbilt University recognizes Samuel C. Ashcroft, Pioneer, Innovator, and Contributor to the Peabody Vision Program, Presented at the Conference on 'Research and Practice in the Field of Visual Impairment' - Nashville, TN., October 25, 1991."
