Summary/Description: The Second Reader Level is the fourth sequential level in a series of beginning library books for braille readers. Eleanor Pester, project director; Eddy Jo Bradley, editorial director; Suzette Frere, illustrations. Kit includes 23 books, one written by Eddy Jo Bradley for this series level and the others published with permission of the original publishers. Museum has 22 of the books; not held: Everyone Ready?, by Franz Brandenberg. Each book is embossed in interpoint braille; length varies from twelve to twenty-five lines per text-only page. Raised-line tactile graphics are in some of the books. Includes a "Notes for Teachers" guide, in standard print, containing summaries of the books, and vocabulary lists and suggested activities. Books and guide have copyright 1984 on verso of title page. All are paperbacks with brown covers saddle-stitched along the fold. APH catalog number: 6-78330-00.
