Accession Number: 2009.24.16.217
Description: Front of page: black-and-white glossy. Girls walk outside in three rows of four, holding hands. They are in a fenced-in area, and the ground is either grass or dirt. Caption: "The girls get their exercise more leisurely than the boys. This shows a group of girls on their afternoon stroll." Reverse of page: black-and-white glossy. In the top photo, a fenced-in activity area is decorated for a special event (Tanabata?). A pennant and flag banner is strung from an elevated area on one side of the area to a pole on the other side. From these banners are hung two domes with streamers attached which extend to the ground (Fukinagashi?), where children are holding to the ends. Many people are sitting around the perimeter of the area, and there appears to be confetti on the ground. In the bottom picture, children are crouched in lines on the ground outside. The picture is taken from above, showing the children forming the number "63." Part of a photo album, pages 37 and 38 of 86.
