Description: Early model New Hall Braillewriter; cast aluminum frame coated with textured black enamel; four black rubber feet; arched cast aluminum diebox/handle screwed to top of frame with two bright finish pan head machine screws; seven key keyboard, black composite, space bar in middle has black 1.5" Bakelite square screwed to top; bright nickel plated steel plate keyboard surround; carriage frame of bright nickel plated steel with black enameled cast aluminum plates on each side; large black wood paper roller with spring loaded paper clamp below secondary rubber covered roller on front, knurled steel paper-feed roller on back of carriage, directly connected to flanking black hard rubber knobs; carriage release lever on right side of carriage; paper release lever on bar above steel feed roller; bar has three black rubber rollers; nickel plated steel back space lever on right side of writer frame; manual margin set keys fit into slots on nickel plated steel margin bar on back of carriage; end of line bell mounted on center back below carriage, above makers tag which reads, "THE NEW HALL BRAILLEWRITER/MANUFACTURED AT THE AMERICAN PRINTING HOUSE FOR THE BLIND/LOUISVILLE, KY/SERIAL NO. 8".
