Description: New Hall Braillewriter in original carrying case; (a) New Hall Braillewriter; heavy cast aluminum frame coated with textured gray enamel; four black rubber feet; arched cast aluminum diebox screwed to top of frame with two bright finish pan head machine screws; seven key keyboard, black composite, space bar in middle has black steel plate screwed to top; carriage frame of gray enameled steel; large black wood paper roller with spring loaded zinc paper clamp and two black rubber knobs below secondary rubber covered roller on front; carriage release lever on left side of carriage; nickel plated steel back space lever on right side of writer frame; sliding margin on aluminum margin bar on back of carriage; end of line bell mounted on center back below carriage, above makers tag which reads, "THE NEW HALL BRAILLEWRITER /MANUFACTURED AT THE AMERICAN PRINTING HOUSE FOR THE BLIND/LOUISVILLE, KY/SERIAL NO. 3029"; (b) wooden case covered with black leatherette; nickel plated steel corners and hardware; open hinges allow lid to be removed from base; rubber feet on base, steel feet on hinge side; black rubber carrying handle; two nickel plated draw latches flanking handle; two aluminum feet screwed into base allow writer to be locked into place during transportation with thumbscrews.
