Includes letters regarding presentation submissions and other program planning for the AAWB 1983 conference, and minutes and agenda of the committee's meetings. Most of the correspondence is with Kent Wardell, committee chairperson, and consists primarily of duplicate copies and some typewritten, signed originals. "Volume One" appears on cover sheet.

Administrative History: The American Association of Workers for the Blind (AAWB) held its last conference in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1983. The next year, AAWB was consolidated with the Association for Education of the Visually Handicapped. The newly formed organization, initially called the AAWB/AEVH Alliance, became known as the Association for Education and Rehabilitation of the Blind and Visually Impaired (AER). Planning of the 1983 conference was the responsibility of the AAWB National Program Planning Committee.
