Administrative History: The Montana School for the Deaf and Blind was established by the state of Montana in September of 1893 and located in Boulder until 1937, when it moved to Great Falls. Initially known as the Montana School for the Deaf and Dumb Asylum, the school had four blind students enrolled in its first school year.
