Description: White cast bust has a glazed exterior and matte-finish interior. It shows Crosby with her eyeglasses and hair pulled back and gathered at the back of her neck. An inscription on the front reads "F.J. Crosby, 1820-1915." Frances Jane Crosby, also known as Fanny Crosby, was a writer of poems, prose, and hymns. She was blind and attended the New York Institution for the Blind, where she later taught grammar, rhetoric, and history.
