Description: 2002.20a - Wooden chessboard with alternating natural wood and raised stained-wood spaces, each 1 1/2 in. square with a hole for inserting game pieces; captured pieces are kept in two holding areas with 15 holes each located on either side of the board. Chessboard is stored in original cardboard box measuring 1 1/4 x 16 x 13 1/4 in. 2002.20b - 15 natural-wood game pieces with pointed tops and 15 black-stained pieces with rounded tops are the same height and have pegs for insertion into board; pieces are stored in a wooden box of tongue-and-groove construction with a sliding, removable lid; box measures 2 x 5 3/4 x 2 3/4 in.
