History/Provenance:
Tavoukdjian, a teacher at the Swiss Mission School for Blind in Beirut, Lebabon, spent two years being trained at the Perkins School, funded by a scholarship from the John Milton Society. She was featured in the June 1954 issue of the "J.M.S.--age" newsletter.
